Brief DescriptionU 89843A is a positive allosteric modulator of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)A receptors.
-
DescriptionU 89843A is a positive allosteric modulator of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)A receptors.(In Vitro):In the alpha 1 beta 2 gamma 2 subtype of GABAA receptors expressed in human embryonic kidney cells, U 89843A dose-dependently enhanced 5 microM GABA-induced Cl- currents with a maximal enhancement of 362 +/- 91%, a half-maximal concentration of 2 +/- 0.4 microM and a slope factor of 1.1 +/- 0.4. U 89843A also inhibited [35S]t-butylbicyclophosphorothionate binding in rat cerebrocortical membranes with a similar half-maximal inhibitory concentration.

Urocortin II, human
Human urocortin (hUcn) II is a new member of the corticotropin-releasing-factor (CRF) family. It selectively binds to the CRF2 receptor.
-
Alcesefoliside
Alcesefoliside has statistically significant cytoprotective activity similar to that of silymarin, tested at 60 ug/mL.
-
Bacterial Sortase Su...
The Staphylococcus aureus transpeptidase Sortase A (SrtA) anchors virulence and colonization-associated surface proteins to the cell wall. SrtA selectively recognizes a C-terminal LPXTG motif. SrtA readily reacts with its native substrate Abz-LPETG-Dap(DNP)-NH2, cleaving it and catalyzing the formation of an amide bond between the carboxyl group of threonine and the amino group of cell-wall crossbridges.
